In the 2010-2011 school year, 484 Hall County students were changed by Mentors:
- 90%improved in academics
- 85% had improved attendance
- 91% exhibited enhanced bonding to the school
- 86% demonstrated better beavhior
- 91% showed improved peer relationships
Why be a mentor? Because, all young people need caring adults around them - adults to support guide, and offer endless encouragement. Children that have such an adult, outside of their families, are more likely to succeed. Mentors are compassionate, trustworthy adults who truly care about kids.

Applications will be accepted on October 10-13th from 9:00am 3:00pm. Children up to 12 years old are eligible. The following documentation is necessary to apply.
•Picture ID of the person applying
•Social Security Cards, School ID, or Tax ID for everyone in the household
•Proof of Income: must have income statement from DFACS, Social Security (bank statement if direct deposit) or paycheck stubs.
•Proof of expenses- Must have copies of the utility bill, car payment, rent receipt and other monthly expenses.
•Clothing and shoe sizes for children. Dream gift idea for each child- this gift idea should be under $50.
•Applications will not be taken unless the person applying has the required documentation. If. You must re-qualify every year.
